Well-being, energy, exclusivity

The Wellness Area is dedicated to Augusta Tina, who, together with her husband Giovanni Luigi, opened the Hotel Excelsior in 1956.

We were inspired by her because in a simple and spontaneous way she always took care of herself, showing off her natural beauty.

She is the one who still enjoys a truly admirable psycho-physical well-being.

The 70-square-metre area includes a sauna, Turkish bath, emotional showers, ice waterfall, Kneipp path and a cosy relaxation area.

Two areas are dedicated to massages: the small room in the Wellness Area and the Gazebo on the sea-view terrace.

  • Finnish Sauna: dry heat bath at around 80°C/90°C for relaxing the muscles and cleansing the skin by expelling toxins from the body
  • Turkish bath: steam bath at approx. 40°C/50°C and 95% humidity for purifying the tissues and strengthening the respiratory system
  • Emotional showers: stimulate the senses with colours, aromas and water jets
  • Ice waterfall to lower the body temperature after sauna and steam bath and thus stimulate circulation
  • Kneipp path: walking in alternating cold and warm water for circulation in the lower limbs
  • Relax area with our comfortable chaise-longues, salt walls and herbal tea corner

The Gazebo Sea view

A multi-sensory experience that promotes relaxation.
The scent of the sea performs a kind of natural aromatherapy and breathing becomes deeper, the heartbeat slows down and relaxation becomes more intense.
Natural light filters through the adjustable slat roof and allows light and air circulation, creating an ideal microclimate that affects the brain and promotes relaxation.

A cosy and elegant solution on our sea-view terrace where privacy is ensured by the adjustable side blinds and the cool white curtain.
